Question:

How often do I need to replace windshield wipers?

Is there a certain amount of time or just when they start to wear out?

Answer:

Copper water piping will fail in areas where the water is very acidic or alkaline. If that's the case here, it should be replaced with PEX. Costs vary all over the country. It'll cost much more in NYC than in Oil City PA. Ask friends or neighbors to recommend some plumbers and get 3 bids.
Yes he's correct. Copper does not go bad, ever. There should be no reason for you to ever replace copper piping unless someone punched holes in it. If some plumber is trying to tell you that you need to replace them, FIND A NEW PLUMBER!
Copper Pipes don't go bad, if you have a leak then it is at a solder (sweat) joint or where someone pierced the pipe. Have someone repair that particular area at the leak.
As soon as they start to show signs of wear or tear. There's no specific time limit, though the older they are the more prone they are to damage. I once racked out a brand new pair of front wiper blades in one winter trip due to the salt and grit on the road. Other than that, they seem to last a year or two for me.
6-8 monthes for the basic cheap wipers if you have something like the bosch icons i had a set last me 3 years and they are some of the best out there the only thing is usually they are about $23.00 a piece
