Question:

how often do you wash your rugs?

I wash my bathroom rugs 3 times a week, but then I also buy new ones about every 3 months. Am I washing mine too often? It seems to me I should wash them more often. What about the kitchen? I wash mine 2times a week.Am I weird, or dirty?

Answer:

If you mean throw rugs, I only wash mine every six months or so. But it's just me and the hubby so they don't get dirty real fast.=)
only a couple times a year, and NO your not dirty, although I probably am a little and I'm sure you think so too, lol but I do think this rug washing behavior is a little over the top I say about once a month is good which is somewhere in between us although, if this makes you happy, go and wash your heart out!
I wash my bathroom rugs once a week. The rest of my house including the kitchen is carpet. Your not weird or dirty. My daughter probably washes hers 3 or 4 times a week to.
My rugs stay on the bathroom floor for 1 to 2 weeks. My kitchen rugs 2 to 3 weeks. I do shake them outside and allow them to air out for a few hours, but I don't wash them that often. I also have more than one rug for each room...when I'm washing one rug, I have a clean rug to replace it with. I watch for sales on rugs at Sears, Penney's, Target and pick them up then.
