Question:

how pull vw rabbit engine?

how pull v w rabbit engine change replace clutch

Answer:

You would need a hoist. You could also reach the clutch by removing the transmission. This is done by removing the axles, unbolting the transmission and lowerng it on a jack. A transmission weighs less than 100 lbs.
Doesn't working on a Rabbit make you 'jumpy' or make you want to 'hop to it'? It's easy, unhook all the cables and fuel lines hooked to the engine, pop out the fan and radiator that's in the way, undo the engine mounts and engine to tranny bolts, bolt a chain to the top of the engine, hook a hoist up to it, raise the motor and give it a tug and watch it pop away from the tranny. (Make sure the starter's off too!) Swap out the clutch, and torque those pressure plate bolts to the right torque, make sure the clutch disc is centered so it will re-allign with the first motion shaft and slip the engine back in and redo everything in the reverse order that you took it out in, put back the anti-freeze and top off the oil and 'pop the clutch' and lay a little rubber!
