Question:

How should I paint my plain oak chair???

My room includes hot pink, black, gold and a little bit of white. I love diamonds and most of my room is Victorian style. Any ideas about how I can fix this crappy chair?

Answer:

paint all white, then get a seat cushion that goes with your decor. if you really want to keep the chair. if it was my room i would get rid of the chair and get something else
That's a Windsor, a classic design. Your least prominent color, white, is the color you should paint it, and if you're good at free-handing, dream up a design for the seat, and maybe even the rungs and legs.
That style chair is very classic. Paint it white and use some gold on the spindles, maybe stripe them. Find a chair cushion in velvet or ultra suede and add some beads around the edges or fringe you can find in any fabric store. You could even use fabric paint if the cushion is very plain and do a diamond pattern on it. Good Luck!
