My steering wheel drops to the left and shifts car to the left. Do the wheels need to be re aligned on computerized device or i can unscrew steering wheel and place it in correct position ?Steering wheel has airbag.
No, you cannot 'adjust' the steering wheel. The front-end has to be corrected.
OK first of all, the guy that said steering boxes have an adjustment for that, is a fu*ckin idiot, and couldnt be more full of sh*t The steering wheel is centered by setting the Toe In which is the final adjustment made when doing the alignment. You lock the wheel in the straight position, then adjust the Tie Rods, or Center Link, as neededA pull to one direction or the other is generally caused by a tire issue, or worn parts
Many steering boxes have an adjustment to center the steering wheel a bit. If yours doesn't it may indeed need an alignment. Are the tires identical and equally inflated? Sometimes a shop will not have the wheel centered when they align the steering - - annoying that the wheel is off-center - but the car drives straight. Sounds like yours drifts to one side which sounds like it needs alignment adjusted - and hopefully not replacement of damaged parts.
