Okay, over the course of about the last three weeks, my female box turtle has laid four eggs... I've cvalled a couple pet shops and they have told me to look online for imformation on how to care for them, and they also mentioned to keep the eggs away from the parents because all they will do is step on and mush the eggs, which i found to be true... I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with information like what should i keep the eggs in? From what a read, a mixture of Peat Moss, Vermiculite (Mineral), and Spaghnum Moss works well... Any suggestions/information is appreciated!!
i'm from the Lake Conroe section. I honestly have earthworms lower than rocks and in my flower beds that I keep quite moist. in case you irrigate, you'll have some you are able to dig up loose.those should be the great that are nearby for your section.
