The question is why has the over heat button popped. it is probably due to bad circulation. the two most common causes are clogged pipes/heat exchanger which is probable considering the age of your boiler or The pump is not doing its job properly and may need replacing.
reset the overheat, check the pressure is ok 1.5 bar and see what happens
