Question:

How to hang a curtain rod above the window, without screwing/nailing into the wall?

I want to hang a curtain rod above my window, but Im not allowed to screw or nail into the wall. Is there an affordable way to hang the curtain rod up without nailing the wall?

Answer:

Wow , I never saw those before. I've also never heard of a landlord not allowing curtains to be hung. Do you have drywall walls? If so, I would just use regular curtain rods, and when you move, patch the holes with plaster. If it's paneling, fill them with wood putty.
We had the same problem and we decide to use Spring Tension Curtain Rods. They are spring loaded curtain rods that do not require any screws to hold it up. Spring loaded curtain rods are held in place by a pressured spring which is inside the curtain tension rod and you compress it to fit in the area you wish to mount the rod.
If you can't put a spring-tensioned rod, such as a shower curtain rod, into the windows framing, and you can't screw or nail into the wall, what about the ceiling? You could install some swag hooks with some decorative chains to wrap around the rod and support it. Otherwise, I'm out of options..
The glue might be strong but- put anything heavy on it and it will just rip the paint or paper of the wall! My opinion is their is no realistic option than a good old fashoned screw (: and plug! If you do stick it on? be gentle or try to scrape of the paint for the glue to stand a chance of holding
