How to install SKF double row tapered roller bearings and what are its methods?
In most applications of rolling mills, the load direction on the outer ring is constant, so only about 1/4 of the outer raceway is subjected to load. So the outer side of the outer circle is divided into four regions, marked by I to IV. The mark of the load area I is also connected with a line through the outer surface of the outer ring. When the bearings are installed for the first time, the I region is usually placed in the direction of load.
When installing double row tapered roller bearings, the bearing parts must be installed in the correct order. The components are identified by an alphabet. All parts of the same bearing are marked with the same serial number, so that if several bearings are to be installed at the same time, there is no risk of component confusion.
When the roller bearing seat is reinstalled, the outer ring shall be rotated 90 degrees, so that the next area will bear the load. If necessary, detailed installation instructions can be supplied with the bearings. When installing bearings with smaller TDI structures, attention should be paid to the relatively thin middle ring without extrusion deformation, for example, when tightening the bearing cover screws. This results in excessive axial clearance or excessive preload of the bearings. Therefore, it is recommended that the bearing be loaded into the bearing seat by providing a socket suitable for bearing width on the bearing housing.
