how to melt copper and zinc?

Answer:

You better take the car to a mechanic. I think you broke something.
if i put all together in furnace it wont unite, zinc melts and copper doesn't If you give it enough time the copper should dissolve in the molten zinc, even below coppers melting point. It helps if the copper has a large surface area, say sheets, wire or granules rather than ingots. You will want to start with the zinc just below the boiling point, and slowly raise the temperature as the copper dissolves (depending on the brass alloy you are making) It will be hard to avoid vaporising some of the zinc, so proper fume controls will be needed. If you need a large quantity you'll be better off buying alloy made by a commercial smelter. If is a small laboratory experiment, use adequate ventilation and it might help to keep the metal covered with crushed charcoal or a flux or something.
