I want to wash my Sunbeam heat blanket, but none of the instructions tell how to remove the control from the blanket itself. I've removed the cord from the wall, and the cord from the blanket's control, but I can't remove the control itself. The picture is what it looks like. It doesn't seem safe to put that in water, but I don't know how to remove it.
What you have pictured is the plug into which the blanket's power cable and control attached. It is designed so that it can be washed in the delicate cycle or by hand. FAQ from Sunbeam follows: Yes, all Sunbeam electric blankets have detachable controls and waterproof elements, making them safe to wash by hand or in the washing machine. Simply remove the controls and wash the blanket by hand in warm water with a mild detergent, or on a delicate cycle. It can then be line or tumble dried.
