Question:

How to use epoxy resin to make a necklace with real butterfly wings:)?

Hey Guys,I was just wondering if i could use epoxy resin to make a pendant with real butterfly wings.about a 3 weeks ago i found a dead butterfly on the street and picked it up. I put it in an air tight container. I removed the body from the wings and now i have four separate monarch wings, which are magnificently beautiful. My sisters love the real butterfly wing jewelry, the have seen in art shows, so i wanted to make them necklaces for Christmas.gettin to the point, i want to know how i go about making them necklaces without damaging the wings. I bought some epoxy resin at the store the other day, because i read online that you can use resin to preserve the wings, but dont know how. Can Some One Help Me?? *I DID NOT KILL A BUTTERFLY, NOR DO I BELIEVE IN DOING SO,JUST TO MAKE JEWELRY*

Answer:

i doubt it hurt his ears, but to a cat fire alarms can be very loud. he is probably just very scared because he's not used to having loud noises. i mean, if you were as small as he is with a large family surrounding you and you heard an insanely loud nose, wouldn't it freak you out? same thing. i'm sure your cat is fine, but if he is still very scared after maybe a week or so, then you should start being concerned. hope i helped!(:
Yes it does have a LI-ion back up battery and its most likely dead or is dieing . Newer detectors have a non replaceable back up battery thats supposed to last ten years or something like that .But when the battery goes there are instructions on the back Just grab the detector and twist it a quarter turn and it will separate from the mounting bracket all the instructions are on the back of the unit it will also tell you if the battery is replaceable and if not gives disposal instructions too So the best way to find out what your needs or what needs to be done is remove it from the ceiling and look at the back of it and read the instructions ALL hard wired detectors regardless of what they detect have a back up battery built in which does NOT get a charge from the AC current powering it
