Question:

How would you paint a rubber gas mask?

I'm interested in getting a PBF Russian gas mask

Answer:

Because of the friction of the materials mentioned. E.G. Wood will have fibre particles that create friction on the surface so the mouse can respond and 'feel' the movement. Whilst a surface such as glass will have a smooth surface so the mouse will slide more so it will not respond as well. Hope this answers what you're looking for.
being much heavier than air it settles down ot to the fire and blocks the air(oxygen) supply
CO2 is heavier than air thats the stuff you see as fog in scifi movie FX so it smothers the fire where it's combusting at the base. That's why the directions are to spray at the bottom of the fire.
