Question:

I am low on funds and wish to insulate attic using old blankets or other thick fabric - not a fire hazard?

I know that using newspapers creates a fire hazard, but what about old blankets? Is fiberglass the preferred choice mainly because it is not a hazard? (my husband would use it and install it himself but he has an aversion to fibers and we don't have the extra money to pay someone)

Answer:

I don't know about in the US but here in Canada the police must fully investigate any 911 hangups and if that includes entering a residence in order to establish that the 911 call was in error then they are allowed to do so.
Yes. They will assume someone is in distress. The recorded hang up is their probable cause.
The constitution is dead, the cops need no reason and can enter any home they choose for any reason. If a reason is asked for in court it is nothing but a formality.
Bring it around to the shop and make you a stock with the band saw.
PoliceThe report mentions that the 911 system gets about 30,000 cell phone 911 calls a year. Good luck and hope this helps.
