My Windows XP system was hijacked and changed without my permission. I do not like the Yahoo Beta and much prefer the Classic e-mail version. However, I am unable to find out the method to restore my system to an earlier date as the System Restore has also disappeared from my system.
Probably early warning of imminent death of the detector. Check the code date on the unit. If 5 years old replace it. I had a unit with the same symptoms and it was 10 years old. Since then I've replaced all of the units and no more F A's.
I sometimes zone out then zone back in not realizing what i am watching till commercial is over.
Try cleaning it. If it still goes off, it may be defective. Does it have a battery backup? If yes, change the battery.
