Question:

I dont think college is for me?

OK well.I've never really been a school guy, I'm lazy when it comes to assignments and bookwork.always have been.since the days I started getting homework back in elementary schoolI'm smart, I can pass tests easily.but I'm just not motivated to do school work which often times puts me at a C or lowered even though my test averages are Bs and upAnyways, I'm about half way through my first semester of college.and I'm just really thinking its not for meI just can't motivate my self to do the school work, I would much rather be workingI guess you can say I'm a hands on kinda guy.I like working, I like learningBut on my own, through my own research.not through lectures in a class room.I like hands on workThe main problem is.I don't know what to tell my parents.I'm gonna finish the semester, but I don't want to continue after that.and I don't know how to tell my parents.Does anyone have any advice? Any good ideas for non-college careers?

Answer:

There are plenty of good-paying non-college careersWhen was the last time you saw an economics major build a bridge? An electrical engineer install city water mains? A psychologist operate a freight crane? An archaeologist wire up a residential circuit breaker box? A lawyer handle the ferry? But all of those jobs require drive, some math, and the ability to follow established protocolsIf you can't do that, you'll be digging ditches or driving the trash trucksAs for your parents, just promise them that you'll be on your own in a couple of yearsProblem solved.
price, durability and the availability of stain guard.good luck
