Ive been looking for meteorites for the past few weeks and Ive been really lucky at it. But yesterday I found a strange rock, it has the features of a fusion crust as it was melting. It is impossible to break i even tried to scratch it with a knife and all i managed to do is cut my finger no scratch on the rock and strangely its clear like a piece of glass with a few little black rocks/dots on the inside. Its also magnetic and smooth on top.what might it be? I don‘t think it is a meteorite but then again it might be a new findALSO its almost two inches wide and 1/3 of an inch thick looks like a mining pick with a really short handle and weighs 14g.
Volcanic glass with magnetite (or other natural magnetic materials) crystal inclusions could resemble what you describe. Some forms of volcanic glass can be remarkably clear and strong. Also the formation of magnetic materials from lava mineral content is relatively common and can occur in the same conditions in which volcanic glasses are formed so it would not be surprising to find them fused into the same piece. It could also be chondrodite with similar magnetite inclusions though the resilience you describe would certainly not be characteristic of it. If it were a particularly clear form of this mineral it would also be rather uncommon for that as well. The resiliance you describe does suggest the possibility of gem materials such as clear topaz (with magnetite inclusions) or possibly quartz. The melting/smooth surface may have describe the appearence some varieties of quartz can take on when eroded in riverbeds - I have some pieces of smokey quartz which are worn smooth and resemble glass.
magnetic is the best clue that it is but the best way to know for sure is to take it to a museum or spomewhere that can examine it poperly and tell you for sure Good luck I hope it is one :-)
nicely if this is authentic and it warms up by using it self this would in all risk carry approximately a clean style of power production rapid get it to the information, or somebody, earlier the government tries to take it away and silence you.
