I was out with some friends for an afternoon drink, which was going to be followed by an evening drink.One of my clip-ons broke, so I made my apologies, and went to the jewellers over the road to buy another pair. The only clips they had were rotten so I had him poke a pair of studs through.If I keep them in, then when they have healed up I will be able to wear better earrings, but I'm not altogether sure how I feel about having to wear the same pair of studs for the next six weeks. Even then, the aftercare leaflet says I shouldn't wear danglies for SIX MONTHS or I risk slit-shaped holes.I like danglies, even though I have only worn clip-on danglies.Is it worth it?
If your door has a lock that can be picked with a paper clip, it would be easier to use a credit card or a used-up gift card (that's the size of a credit card). Just slide the card into the slot between the door and the jamb, push back on the beveled latch, and voila! You're in. Then tell your parents to get a 1-1/2 deadbolt lock and install it correctly to provide real security. And to get a lockbox to screw to the wall outside your door and hold a spare key behind a combination lock front. The one we have costs about $30 at Lowes.
When I read this question, I immediately thought of 2001 A Space Odyssey. They were quite thorough as to posting warning signs in the cabin of the Pan Am ship and the Aries Shuttle that the guy took to the moon. And they equipped him and the crew aboard with safety clothing (stylish). Anyway, weightlessness is the big issue. If it isn't tied down, it will drift away (including yourself while sleeping). Being on the moon that wouldn't be a big issue. Aside from it's a cold hard vacuum out there, the really big issue is radiation. Since you no longer have earth's magnetic field and atmosphere you are not naturally protected against UV, solar wind, and cosmic radiation. That is always a biggie.
