Question:

I have a 1991 Mustang Cobra Gt made in the U.S. that has the Cobra brake and suspension system on it.?

The Mustang also has the Cobra fender emblems, and the intake plaque says 5.0 Cobra I noticed that when I went to the DMV to get the car taged the info readout said 1991 Mustang GT Cobrawhen I went to get insurance it also had to be insured as a Cobra GT,I was told by a man at the Ford Dealership where I work that it was true that no Cobra SVOS where built in 1991-92 ,but there where some 5.0 GT Cobras built in Canada and the U.S. that had the Cobra brake and suspension system, and the only difference in the body would have been the fender emblems and the 17 inch Cobra wheels that my Mustang also has.So for those of you that say the Cobra wasnt made in 1991 are just wrong, maybe the SVO Cobra is what all of you are referring too.

Answer:

Sounds to me that the person your bought the car from did a Cobra conversion on your car. You can get all of those part easily from the aftermarket mustang shops. Also the Cobra was built on a LX platform not the GT platform.
There is no question here but most people do not know about the canadian version that is a cobra. Not a big deal really as it has no real power increase.
