what kind of axle does it have and what about the ring and pinion and is it a 10 bolt cover and is it a 30 Spline Count
The only thing i can tell you is count how many bolts that on the inspection cover,either 10 or 12
Depends on if the truck is a half ton or not. Count the number of bolts that holds on the differential cover. 10 and 12 bolts axles are semi-floating, and if it is a 14 bolt it is a full-floater. If I remember correctly, they didn't make the 14 bolt semi-floater till 88. As for spline count, I'm not sure.
on the end of the axle tubes if it bulges out its a bolt in axle, if its smooth its a c clip axle. i think the axles are 28 spline and 12 bolt axles are 30.
