I have a Saab 9-5 year 2000. Windshield wipers do not move. Help?
NO JOKE this JUST happened to me three days ago and i got it fixed yesterday. The windshield wipers were on high and they just stopped working in the pouring rain the motor WOULD make a buzzing noise but they would not move unless i manually pulled them across the windshield - then something would catch and the motor would pull them back down, but then they are just stuck again. i took it to the saab dealer yesterday and he said it was the wiper motor, it cost $360 in parts and labor to replace and they work better than ever now. please dont listen to what other people say about if you hear a buzzing noise then its not the motor - WRONG, i heard the buzzing noise loud and clear and it turned out to be the motor.
The sad thing is I knew most of these, and even noticed that you put that the electric chair was invented by a dentist 2 times. Very good list! I enjoyed it!!!
Let me guess. you are on spring break and you are bored? Why are baseballs made of human skin They aren't.
Same exact thing happened to me as the first two people who commented. I had the motor replaced for a few hundred dollars and the next day it broke again. Took it back they replaced another motor claiming that the first one was faulty.then broke again. There was an underlying problem causing this and it stemmed from the transmission and a broken 'pin'. (I had a 97 Buick Park Avenue so not sure if the term pin is used in all vehicles) Take it to a couple of people or you may end up paying $600 fro no good reason at all. I am currently still arguing with the mechanic about this because he just will not admit that his shop made a mistakeALSO ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ASK FOR YOUR OLD PARTS BACK! I wish I would have then I could of had the first motor tested to see if it was really faultynow I cannot sue or do anything about it at all because I have no proof!
Check your fuses inside the car under dash one should specifically say WIPERS If that doesn't work open your hood. Under there near the battery you will find a black plastic cover aprox 8X8. There are 2 clips that push in then pull up to release the pannel. Once renoved turn cover over and look at the paper /plastic sticker inside. This will list all the main power for your car. Power rated fuses range from 15 amps up to 60 amps. One of them will say IGNITION it should be 20 amps. Look through clear plastic top to see if there is black or gray discoloration. When you find the blown fuse simply (and gently) wiggle to and fro aka : side to side. Once it comes out take to auto parts eg:Lordco, NAPA auto etc. NOTE: when removing plastic plate make sure you flip it over side to side and not top over bottom!!! Otherwise all your fuses on plastic wrapper will be reversed top on bottom and bottom on top!!!
