First, need more info on type of vehicle, for this may help!
If you ripped it apart to do the out bearing why did you not replace the inners while you were at it? Are we talking front or rear? If it is the front then they should have been in your hand when you pulled it apart if its front wheel drive then it is in the hub and you need a hub bearing. You need to put more details bro so we can answer you correctly.
The older replaceable inner/ outer wheel bearings come in a box with the bearing and it's race that the bearing turns on. You need to replace both the race and bearing. The old races have to be driven out with a brass drift and the new races driven back in. Take the wheel to a shop and they will install the new races. You also will need a new grease seal on the inner bearing.
