is there any other reasons why it wouldn't work beside the heater coil being bad the blower works i replaced the thermostat and if it is the heater coil how can i tell.p.s. the make and model 93 cadi deville sedan
it could be that the heat exchanger door is stuck as well. the only way to tell is to tear apart the dash and look for the door inside the duct system that switches from the a/c condensor to the heater core. another possiblity is that the heater control valve is stuck. it is inline with the heater hoses that run through the firewall. it may be stuck which would not allow any heated water to run through the heater core. it is probably not the heater core, unless it is just plain clogged with debris from not changing the coolant. best thing is to take it to a reputable mechanic who will inspect it and tell you what it is. gm mechanics would probably be the best for that cadillac. you don't have to necessarily send it to a cadillac dealer either. any gm shop will work.
