Question:

I'm leaving roses in my g/fs car for her for a few hours.how can I make sure they don't die?

I don't wanna put them in a vase, I wanna leave them in their original wrapping laying on the seat and I'm not sure how I can keep them hydrated for like 4 hours.

Answer:

recut them diagonally wet paper towel around each endwrapped in aluminum foil, and fastened with a rubber band if necessary.
sounds like winchester silver tips to meThey were pretty popular for a while, not so much any moreWORD OF ADVICE Never fire ammo you find on the ground or anywhere elseSome people load to dangerously extreme pressures that can destroy a firearm or kill the shooterIf you want to use the brass or bullet, get an energia bullet puller and pull the bullet, dump the powder, and start overI'm not going to tell you to remove the LIVE primer, because it can go off and be dangerous when you try to remove itBut, at the same time, I would never reuse a case with an old primer, or one that someone else loadedIt may be a bad primer, or the wrong oneI have never seen it, but I have heard the rumor that some low life actually double loaded some cartridges and intentionally left them for an unknowing shooter to find, with the intent of hurting someoneShoot safe
Not illegalJust the Hornady A-MAX bullet available to handloadersThey may look perfect, but then again many handloads can look good but be absolutely dangerousThey could be squibs, they could be over-charged, they could be okCouldn't tell without knowing what type of powder they contain and it's charge weightI would say save them in a jar and collect any others you find and save them for components if you ever take up reloading.
silver tip ammo has been around for a long time, and it's good hunting ammoif you care to check, you'll find there are different types of tips for penetration and expantion and or knock down powerwhoever left them may have thought it wasn't worth the drive back to get themthey're not illegal yet, but maybe after janof next year if osama gets in.
Winchester-Western used to make ammo called silver tippedIt was not silver (obviously), but just the metalic lead with the usual amount of antimony in itIt sounds to me that the ammo might be old and perhaps it was improperly stored and humidity got to itSo, maybe the person that was (trying) to shoot it had some misfires and decided to discard the whole lot of itOf course, if I found a cache like that, what I would do is use a kinetic bullet puller and pull all the bullets (to reuse them) and discard the rifle powder.and remove the primers using a resizing dieThen, you can start from scratch and reuse the shell casing and the bullets(But, be sure to get rid of the primers and powder, as they may be contaminated with moisture.)
