I have a 04 Chevy Trailblazer and it sounds like one of my CV joints are going bad. Where is the best place I can go purshase some.
buy new.to have someone pull axles replace joints and so forth.it just makes sense to buy new.it will be cheaper in the long run.and like the gentleman stated earlier a lifetime warrantee
It depends on the make, model and year of the bike. If the bike had hydraulic F brake and cable activated clutch, it would be improbable, but not impossible. Switching the F brake master cylinder to the left side, the master cylinder would be up-side down. If the brake had hydraulic clutch F brake, the hoses could simply be exchanged between the 2. You could simply switch the throttle to the left, but you'd have to roll it forward to accelerate. Depending on the bike and the way the throttle was assembled, the cables might be switchable to roll the grip backwards. Or if it was a single cable, the inards of the throttle could be modified to work normally. I've seen a bike with the throttle on the left. The person didn't have use of their right hand.
I strongly prefer to use Advance Auto Parts for something like this. They're spot-on getting the right part, the first time (as long as you have all the right information) and don't give you any hassle when you need to claim a warranty. Their CV axle-shafts are lifetime warrantied and reasonable in price (about $60). I'll encourage you to stay away from salvage (junk yard) parts, as they're unreliable and rarely have any warranty.
Usually the other side will go out too in a month or two depends on which side is the shorter cv axle I would plan on doing both if you can but have a mechanic inspect the front end first. The best axles to get are new ones. These will outlast the rebuilt ones by a lot. Most of the new ones are at dealers but if you have a local shop mechanic ask him if he can get new cb joints or if money is tight have the mechanic get a good quality rebuilt set. If you are going to have someone else put them on. make sure the know what they are doing. sometimes the manual vehicles have different cv axles and if yours is an automatic they may not fit right. This happens on yahoo answers where some guy slapped it all together only to find out that it was a half inch too short and would never fit. Because the wrong joints were ordered to begin with. so its important to find out from the beginning which one your truxk needs. best of luck.
It can be done, and by the way Doohan had a rear thumb brake on the left side because his right ankle was immobile. There is a roadracer with all the hand controls on one side as he only has 1 full arm. I'm sure you could put a throttle and one regular lever and one thumb lever on the same side, you would just need to figure out whether to have the clutch as a thumb lever or the brake.
