i need good blue prints for a ferret cage ?
it depends on the chemicals used in the fire. you can also try a co2 extinguisher or sand, but really first you need to research the chemicals you are going to use
maybe your water fire extinguisher can stop the fire but i'm not sure if it can. you can just use the simple carbon dioxide fire extinguisher to cut the oxygen supply of the combustion because oxygen contributes to fire build up.
Avoid sitting in a car with the engine running and a hose from the exhaust pipe through the top of the wndow.
As others have stated it entirely depends on the chemicals involved. Most chemicals have a M.S.D.S. sheet that descirbes the most effective extinguishing medium. When you are mixing chemicals, you create a whole new ballgame and the M.S.D.S. sheets may not longer apply. Dry Checmical fire extinguishers may be safe, but again, they are chemical based too. Your standard ABC multipurpose dry-chemical fire extinguisher typically uses mono-ammonium phosphate. This chemical react badly with say, pool chemicals that are used in water treatment. Try to ammend your question and let us know what the chemicals you are using and we might be able to offer further assistance.
