Question:

I own a 1991 Dodge Dakota, and the passenger side windshield wiper stopped functioning, what can I do?

Other than having it serviced, what are my options?

Answer:

first off, see if the nut that holds that arm down to the rod that moves it is tight, then see if either of them are stripped.

usually their is a transmission that connects one wiper to the other, sometimes the joint wears out and it comes apart. you access it from the grill below the wipers, you can take a look your self,or pay a mechanic to see what happened. Most cars have one wiper motor, and a transmission between the two wipers to keep them in synch.
