hey im 13 female i want to build a chair not sure what type can you please help me my room is old and i share it but i want to update it but cant paint it yet or anything but i need some ideas??
If you just need something to sit on, a wood box with a pad on it works pretty well. You can paint the box to go with your room color. Or buy a used chair at a charity store, like Goodwill Industries, and again paint it as you like. One chair there is really inexpensive, and you may already have some paint in the house that you can use. Actually building a four-legged chair with a back is pretty hard. I wouldn't try it, and I'm ancient, but I hope you will, someday.
Wow - I've made many chairs.... they are the big leagues. You really have to know what you're doing to make a good one. But you can just build a box - something to sit on. It doesn't have to be super heavy or strong - just enough to hold you up. But a nice graceful chair is a very difficult job and takes every tool in the shop.
