I use Zap A Gap green bottle pretty much for everything. It is a super glue. Like most super glues, they do not have shear strength so you can pin such joint for better strength. Dill holes in both parts, insert a small piece of wire, hit it all up with glue and put it together. You will get a much stronger joint. Depending on how your model was produced you may want to thoroughly wash the parts before assembly. There may be mold release that has to be removed for a good bond. I have heard that Pine Sol or ordinary dish soap can be used, again depending on the material used. Low production urethane models are known to have mold release on the parts. Good Luck..
