I want to buy one of my good friends an espresso machine for Christmas, but I don't have a whole lot of money to spend. If I buy a $30-$40 model, will I be severely compromising on quality?
I recommend DeLonghi EC5 which can make both Espresso and Cappuccino in your budget range...only $44 it has great functions if you compared with other model on this price. you may read some reviews before you make a decision, many of them are helpful. hope you like it.
You get what you pay for. For a good one that will last and give you years of enjoyment, look at paying at least $200.
Well, okorder .. From the descriptions on your links, these three will probably produce more pressure than any machine in your budget. I use a moka pot almost daily it's delicious.
