Question:

If I sprayed fire extinguisher in my oven, is it harmful?

If I tried to clean it out, but there still might be some remaining spray in there. Is this going to be harmful to cook food in or even toxic? I mean, I don't know if it ok to use now?

Answer:

I would go with propane. I don't know that one is safer than the other, that would depend on the heater and the location. They both will produce CO if they are not burning correctly. Propane is cleaner. No matter how careful you are with kerosene it will smell like kerosene. Propane has little to no smell when burning correctly. Fuel cost is also dependent on the heater but i would guess about the same generally speaking. As noted, if you are using it indoors you need a CO detector. Also with propane you can only use the small containers indoors. If you use a larger propane container you need a longer hose so that the container is outside. I bought a Big Buddy heater from northern tool. Had a great price on the heater and they also had all the hoses and filters that I needed.
This a true story. happened this morning. My 4 year old was pretending to be a soldier and threw a grenade at the toilet, (a fake one). Well the toilet caught fire, (not really) and he proceeded to put it out with his hose.(while peeing) Made for a good laugh this morning and then wondering how the heck a 4 year old thinks up these things.
It should be fine. Do you have a carbon monoxide detector? That would be my main concern, not the smell of the kerosene fumes. If you don't feel dizzy and sick, your baby isn't being harmed either. **Mrs. W - she doesn't live in a small enclosed space like a tent. Big difference.
