Now that I am in Canada it seems that recycling is a major deal herewhich I find very very good! We can turn in our cans, bottles, and plastic wine bags to the local Beer store and get 5 cents per can, 10 cents per bottle and bagAlso, we have blue boxes that are set out with the garbage pick upEnds up we only have a small trash bag to put out as most everything is recycledWhere I moved from there was hardly any recycling effort unless one went along street sides and ditches to collect and haul to a recycling plant.

In my neighborhood lives a family that is very much handicappedAll members! One of the daughters was raped and killed quite a few years agoThe father always collected cans and soon as word got out everyone began saving their aluminum for themThey were permitted to go into yards if necessary to get themThe father is now in a motorized scooter with oxygen and the mentally handicapped daughter runs to all the houses collecting the cans while the father waits with the cart on the streetIf I am outside she always yells 'thank you sir' while running with the cansBefore that I did recycle the aluminum but not as dedicated as I should have beenI think it is very smart and responsible to recycle the cans I am happy to hear there is a good price.
Searching the Web, I see listings for organic dyes and organic paintsThis suggests that you can find commercial products to do the jobIf you want to make the coloring agent yourself, there are articles to make your own paint- sounds messy to me! When you check the commercial products out, you'll have to know what the object is made ofIs it metal, fabric, wood, or some kind of plastic? What kinds of plastic, metal, etc.? If it is a commercial product, a recycling logo would tell you what kind of plastic it isOh, yes: What color do you want? That should get you started!
