For the most part, lint is the small fibers from threads that are too small to be/stay a part of the yarn in the first place- which is why they come off loose in the laundry, etcBecause they are so small and short, generally they would not be able to be spun into threadAnd if you were able to actually spin a yarn, it would be too weak to actually be woven into fabric You can however use lint in both papermaking and feltingIf you do a search you could probably find more information on both.
