I know there is an alarm button, but theres the emergency shut off too. does that set off an alarm.

for the most part no. they are non toxic there is only one that can kill that is Halot and it is only in huge systems and its not in Extinguishers and its not really toxic it just sucks out O2 but there are a few others that are but they are being band but there are some realllllly old ones that are but not new one that i know of not to Birds. no
Honestly, that's more than seven to ten minutes long. It's an amazingly, emotionally complex event that really a short film with that much scope in mind can't do enough justice to. Try narrowing the scope a bit. Make it more of the events leading up to the kid finding out about the school shooting. Calling the school (maybe he's skipping instead of sick), slacking a bit, playing video games, and then have his phone go crazy, so much so that it jams up and he can't get any of his messages, the home phone rings with the school number and he's afraid to answer it lest he's found out to be a skipper. Then end it with him finding out about the shooting. It's still a little complex, but it will also be easier to shoot (the pandemonium surrounding a school shooting would involve too many people to be cost effective.) Just my first thoughts.
