Shield volcanoes are formed primarily by lava flows. This results in smooth sloping sides that resemble a convex shield laying down, facing up. Cinder Cone Volcanoes are formed primarily by ejected solid matter. This makes steep sides that make the volcano more conical. Composite volcanoes exhibit a mixture of ejected rock and lava flows. So they are something in between, a volcano not as steep as cinder cone volcanoes but still somewhat conical.
I have heard good things about Ryobi but I would not trade my Dremel for anything. All of the little attachments are pretty much interchangeable between brands. If you have a Harbor Tool Warehouse near you, they usually have the best price on the tool. I have seen it once in a while for $20 for the rotary tool and the case to carry it and the attachments in.
