I want to get a 6 inch strip of 5% black tint then i want to put a manufactures decal on my windshield but im scared it will last like a few months.

Get one that sticks to the INSIDE of the windshield. The outside ones will get ruined if the wipers hit it.
I have a windshield decal on my car thats placed on the outside of the window. I placed it high enough so the wipers wont tear the decal. If u put the 5% tint on the inside of the top of the windshield and then put a decal on the tint, then u wont be able to see the decal on the outside of the car.
