I know what kind of ''p'' trap yo are talking about. I dont use them. a lot of times they crack apart and leak and you dont even know it because they are hidden under the sink. besides that they are hard to get the connections from leaking. your best bet is to figure out how to put the rigid stuff in. If you have to waste a few pieces of pvc to figure it out in the long run its worth it.
