Remove the axle including where the tripod sits into from the vehicle. Put the axle shaft in a vice and remove the clamps that hold the inner cv boot on, slide boot back toward outer boot but still leave on the shaft itself, grease and slide the tripod housing over the three bearings, install 2 new bands and re-install in the vehicle, that's the easiest way.
