Question:

Industrial Roller with Additive Friction Bearing or Drag Feature?

I am looking for an industrial roller or shaft type of apparatus that has a built in drag feature on it. I am pulling an somewhat small foam/rubber-like extrusion across it (without slip), and want the roller to provide a drag force on the extruded piece. The drag isn t going to need to have a high torque at all, so something smaller would be more fitting. I have seen some brakes/clutches that can be somehow attached, but none have really fit what I am looking for. They can still be considered, however. Ideally it isn t more than $250 or so, but any help would be appreciated. Even if you could find a brake that would work, that would be appreciated as well. Please let me know if there are any products like this on the market?

Answer:

Yes. Even the handicapped can be fired if unable to perform the functions of their job and there is no means by the employer of accommodating the handicap.
