I just bought a CO alram which has a plug in and also takes a 9V battery for backup. Apparently all the electric outlets in my house are very low (about 18 from the ground), so my question is how high am i supposed to install the alarm from the ground? The outlet on the alarm can be detached and has an extra electric wire in case i wanted to install the alarm a bit higher. Please note that i don’t have any pets or kids at the moment.
If it's a factory alarm remove the fuse if it's aftermarket remove the whole alarm system.People are most likely to not pay any attention to it anyway.
From how far away do you want to detect, and for what purpose? There are a variety of sensors that detect up to 20 feet or so. My garage door has a sensor that detects across 16 feet or so. Check out
