I have an older homeApparently so old that no one had ever heard of insulation at the time of construction I know nothing about home repairs or improvementsI was wondering if there's a way to blow in insulation inside a wall I was thinking if this was possible, how much would it cost? The main level of my house is about 1200 square feet and I would only care about doing the exterior walls.Could anyone give me a best guest estimate? Thanks!
Hmm, now I'm confuse o.O ugh.
You know those malls that have parking lots and many floors yeah and for each floor they have a parking lot and yeah that thing they call a bridge that takes the car up there so they can park and go shopping Yeah thats it!!
The building had rampsThat's how the car reached there and that's why the truck was on the 21st floor.
You can have insulation blown into your wallsThey'll have to cut holes between every stud and below the windows on the exterior of the houseDepending on the size of your house, this could cost $4K to $10K or moreThings to look into are what kind of insulation they use and how good a job they do patching the wallsThere can also be an issue with moisture being trapped in the insulation (leading to rot), since old houses typically don't have any sort of vapor barrierThis is more of an issue in colder climatesYour first priority should be attic insulation, since more heat is lost through the top of the house than the sidesSealing any drafts around doors and windows is also important.
