Question:

Installing new exhaust system and cold air intake harm my car??

Since i want to gain some horse power, I‘m attempting to install exhaust system and cold air intake to my 2007 civic si coupe. But i‘m just worried if they harm my car‘s durability. I heard some stories that cold air intakes make some problem when its raining, because the water percolates through the intake to engine. And i‘m worried if installing new exhaust system does that kind of thing too. Is it okay to install those??

Answer:

not enough to justify the cost maybe 1 to 1.5 hp more
If its an older carb ran charger but a fuel injected engine nope
i think of that's a great theory. the toughest area is to verify the european and Vtec controllers contain the donor engine so as that your CRV can artwork with it. additionally you will would desire to discover out if the motor mounts are the comparable between the two vehicles. stable success, sounds like a funky undertaking.
Exhaust virtually has no effect it is a percentage thing, you probably make 140 horse 3% increase is 4 horse if that, the cold air intake will gain about 5-8 horse on that type of car,so.is it really worth it?
