Question:

Is 4 wheel drive faster than 2 wheel drive?

I have a small toy car set up and im wondering if using two rear wheel drive will be faster than connecting a gear mechanism that connects to the front wheels and making it 4 wheel drive. The toy car is a tamiya and im debating whether to only connect the rear wheels to the motor or use all 4 of them.

Answer:

alternator to check it disconet the battery and see what happens
your car charging system is failing.take car to AUTO ZONE,ORYEIILYS they give free electrical system tests.they hook small instrument to your battery cable ends.to check your alternator, relays or rgeulater
if the road is snow covered then 4wd can be used. not if it is dry at all. You can drive as fast as you want really. There isn't a limitiation between 4wd and 2wd. Just not smart to go 80 if you actually need 4wd as it will be slippery. 4wd does not take the place of brains. the 40 mph you read is only for 4wd lo range. 4wd hi range is fine for normal speeds.
4 wheel drive is more powerful, but its not necessarily faster than the 2 wheel
4 wheel drive all the way man!! in this case when all of your wheels are spinning, its faster. 2 wheel drive cause your car to be slower especially if grease is not applied if u have a fast engine it really wouldn't matter because its fast already.no matter what id still go with the 4wheel drive 4 wheel drivemore power
