I was just wondering whether ceramic bulbs are better than infrared bulbs for use in a reptile enclosure? Are the cheaper to run?

They're both radiant heat sources and they both convert 100% of the electricity into heat The ceramic bulb just warms up and cools off more slowly as it has more thermal mass.
