Is ceramic fiber cotton block poisonous?
Ceramic fiber cotton block is non-toxic in that once being fired in high temperature, figuline is safety as long as it is not collected in areas of high heavy metal and high radiation. However, before being fired, some ceramic would be painted with chemical material, which is unsafe to some extent. So you’d better buy white ceramic.
From the perspective of firing process, it is non-toxic. Adding ferric oxide and manganese dioxide in ceramic fiber cotton is traditional process. Then through physical and chemical reaction, stable silicate will be formed, and it does no harm to body; from the perspective of twenty-year history of products, no one case has been found to prove that consumers’ using ceramics would cause food safety incidents, thus further prove that the product is safe.
The dust produced by ceramic fiber cotton block is harmful to body, mainly presented as respiratory symptom, skin and eye irritation symptom, lung function reduction, obvious change of chest radiograph abnormities.
