Question:

Is copper wire environmental friendly?

I am going to do my new project of making wirewrapped jewelry by using wooden beads and copperwire. can I call it eco friendly? are the copper wires ecofriendly?

Answer:

Copper can be reduced, reused, and recycled, I will let you answer this based upon this (: Goodluck on your project! (Yeeessss, it is). Edit: Ok above poster wtf? You can see Diamond mines, coal mines , etc? That is the labor involved, not the element itself. Copper can be reused and recycled by being melted down and resurfaced. Coal would be an example of un-env. friendly. .-.
Not really. Copper mining operations are some of the largest strip mines on the planet. Google earth them, they're easily visible from space.
Copper is an element found in many places on the planet. So I guess it's better than say plastic wire. Though maybe mining copper isn't that ecofriendly.
No,Copper is not eco friendly. The reason is that CO2 in the air, along with even H2S do react with copper making Copper tarnish its shine,& then turning into into bluish green in color, which slowly peels off & in the process the metal is lost, slowly, but steadily.
