Question:

Is it a good idea to buy a fire extinguisher for my car?

Not a full size one, but one of those ones suited for car use. Although, I don't go camping or the outback, I thought it would be a smart idea to buy one just in case. I only own a compact car but I guess that doesn't really matter. Should I get one or is it a waste of money?

Answer:

I have four dogs and ten cats, so hair is a huge problem in my household. I purchased a hand-held vacuum and it's been working wonders, especially when I need to quickly get hair off of the couch. Plus, it's great for cleaning other stuff up (of course, it's a vacuum) quickly. I also have hardwood floors, but they're super old and I'm scared to use a lint roller on them. That might be silly, though.
People have been using kerosene heaters for many years to heat their homes and I have friends who still do. I have one myself but no longer use it inside my home. There is a small risk of carbon monoxide but there are detectors to sense that. The biggest reason I don't use it is the cost. Kerosene prices went sky high and there's just no savings in using the heaters now. Second is the odor. Every kerosene heater gives off a smell and running one inside today's tight homes really permeates everything with that smell. It is sometimes strong enough to make sensitive people feel sick. If you have access to natural gas or propane then you can buy a vent-less heater for about the same cost as a kerosene heater. They are more efficient and you won't have the odor either. That's what I heat my house with now and we love it. If the ventless heater is not an option then just use simple space heaters. Don't waste your money on the fancy looking heaters. They do look nice, but won't save you any money on heating bills.
kerosene heaters is not the way to go if it is not ducted the fumes will give you a head ache at the very least
