Question:

Is it normal for teams to recycle the suspension system of a F1 car?

recently, Toyota admited to re-use one suspension system that cause the failure and accident in GermanyI've always thought those are being replaced every raceIs there any other mechanical parts beside the engine and gearbox that are being use at more than 1 race? Thanks

Answer:

It's only in recent years that most of the anciliary parts haven't been used for several races in a row, (sometimes they would be used for the whole season, albeit with tests and inspections in between races).
toyota said they used some parts again - most teams do so and re-use parts - especially on the chassis and the suspension etc, even gear boxes. obviously tyres and engines have limited use
