Question:

Is it ok if there was water inside a tire, which was stored?

I am being paranoid but for a good reason. I have a Michelin motorcycle tire, which was locked up in my backyard for about 2 weeks now. For about 3/4 days there was water in the tire, I splashed some of the water out but there was a little bit left. I guess the water evaporated. But now I want to be 100% sure that the tire is still good to ride with. I am putting it on my motorcycle and I do not want to take any risks. False tire can cause me my life. So is it ok to place the tire which was stored for 2 weeks and had water in it for 4 days??

Answer:

Stop worrying just make sure it is clean and dry when it is fitted to the rim, Many vehicles end up with water inside them for years especially on off road bikes.
I don't think the water will make much of a difference. Dump out the water, store the tire upright and let it dry out so when you mount it it won't rust the wheel. The worst thing that would happen to the tire is it would turn into a breeding ground for mosquito if the water stayed in it!
