I just got a Samsung 26 inch LN26C450E1D LCD TV. The TV has Anynet ,so I was wondering if you could control a cable box with the TV remote.
Anynet is a proprietary Samsung system that links Samsung devices together, like a TV and a DVD player. I have that arrangement myself, and the two operate together as one unit with one remote. However, it's unlikely that Anynet will function with any type of equipment from another manufacturer because the other device will not be Anynet-equipped. As for the Samsung remote operating the cable box, I won't say it cannot be done, but that's backwards from the usual process. It's quite easy to program your cable box remote to operate your TV. Doing that vice-versa would not be so easy.
